Dare to Dream

Nov 12, 2016

What does having a dream look like to you? Is it something only attainable when your eyes are closed and your head is on a pillow? Does it mean freedom? Does it mean escaping your reality for something better? Something only imaginable in a distant place somewhere in your mind. What if I told you that those dreams are closer in reach than you may think.

Sometimes having a dream it may seem as though life is a giant obstacle course. You hurtle over everything in your way to obtain the pot of gold at the end only to find out that the course never ends. What I want to talk about in this post is how to bust down those obstacles and cherish that pot of gold sooner rather than later.

Disclaimer:

I am by no means an expert on this topic. I would simply like to share a few things I've come to know as personal truth for manifesting dreams.

The first thing I've come to know is that you are the creator of your own life. What I mean by this is that only you know your truest desires. And sometimes those desires may not be what those around you want for your life. I know from experience having a very opinionated mother. Love you mom! Sometimes it is okay to take a leap of faith into unknown territory not knowing the outcome. This is where intuition comes in. The universe has an astonishing way of letting you know you're on the right path when you stay true to yourself. Now, I'm not saying to pack up all of your things and move to North Korea. But hey, if that's what the universe is telling you.

Before I started my nomadic journey I took a lot of time to write down my truest desires. The things I wanted to accomplish in life. The way I wanted to feel. The person I wanted to be. I then wrote a plan of what I needed to change or add to my life to make those things happen. By aligning my actions with my dreams the universe opened a foreseeable door and gave me a warm welcome with open arms.

The second thing I've learned is something that may be hard to digest but once realized can lead to endless possibilities. That is, money cannot hold you back unless you let it. Is money essential? Absolutely. Do you have to let it control your actions? No.

This is something that took me a while to fully grasp but has changed my world. I'm not going to go very in depth with this one as I feel it is pretty explanatory. If you want something bad enough you will make it happen. And the universe will reward you in unimaginable ways.

The final thing I have learned is something that I have always struggled with.

It is almost impossible to make your wildest dreams come true if you are living out of fear. Of course diving head first into something new will scare the sh*t out of you. But let me ask you something. What do you accomplish by letting that fear control your actions?

Writing on this blog even scares the crap out of me. But that fear of the unknown cannot dictate your life, especially if you plan on achieving your dreams anytime soon. Pushing your boundaries and getting uncomfortable opens doors for growth. I have most definitely dealt with this fear for most of my life. As I continue to push those fear based thoughts out of my head I am able to experience more and live closer to my truest self. Like I stated earlier, the universe has a funny way of clearing a path for you when you are true to yourself and know what you want out of life.

Well, thank you for reading this if you did. I hope this could inspire you to do something today to get you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Stay inspired.

Yours Truly
